Practical Conservation

No previous experience is required as tasks are led by qualified Project Community Outreach Officers and all specialist tools and training is provided – all you need to bring is enthusiasm and clothes suitable for the great outdoors. We even provide the tea & biscuits!
We run regular task days open to anyone or can organise bespoke sessions for specific groups. Tasks can involve path creation, heathland restoration, wetland improvement and traditional woodland management techniques such as coppicing and small tree felling. Whether you like building stuff or cutting things down, we’ve got the task to suit!
Whilst under 16s are more than welcome, they must be accompanied by an adult on the open task days.
For more information on how to get involved contact: Tasha Feddery (Community Outreach Officer for Woking & Guildford) or Tom Newman(Community & Education Officer for Merstham)
